China marks 70th anniversary with grand military parade

In China, a grand military parade was held at Tiananmen Square on Oct 1 to celebrate the country’s 70th National Day. In a rousing speech, President Xi Jinping said “no force” can stop China and the Chinese people from progressing. But Mr Xi also emphasised the need to grow peacefully and openly.
