Fears are growing in Japan over the contamination of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine there. More than 2.6 million shots have been suspended after foreign materials were found in vials. The discovery presents a hurdle for the country’s vaccination programme at a time when severe COVID-19 patients remain at a record high.
