China gears up for 70th anniversary with grand parade in Tiananmen Square

China would be marking 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China on Oct 1. It would be holding one of its biggest military parades in Tiananmen Square. Around 15,000 soldiers would march across the venue, and nearly 600 pieces of cutting-edge military hardware would be displayed, including a new intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the US.
